These hotel rooms feature genuine substance and are designed to convey a feeling of depth and authenticity. The combination of wood, glass, laminate and textiles, together with the colour scheme and the furniture, all serve to accentuate the character of the rooms.

BJÖRN SAHLQVIST was born in 1944 and is a well-established architect. He received his training at the School of Design and Crafts (HDK) and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. At the end of the 1970s, Sahlqvist set up the agency known as ARKITEKTSTUDION AB together with his wife, interior decorator Kristina Sahlqvist. Björn has taken part in a number of successful projects both in Sweden and internationally. In these 30 superior rooms, Björn has designed the majority of solutions and details himself to provide a special atmosphere of spaciousness in which the furniture almost appears to hover. The z-shaped desk is fixed to the wall and includes a retractable mini-bar with a glass front. The wardrobes are spacious and feature sliding doors and a plate of frosted glass lit from behind to enhance the airy impression created by the room.
