710 - The Currant suite
The Current Suite was named after the currant bushes that grow on the balcony just outside. Most of the furniture has been created by the designer himself and was inspired by a boating trip to Paris. The nautical theme is reflected in the design of the furniture.
The chairs are shaped like a water drop; the lamp has been fashioned to resemble a ship's lantern while the black and white bedspread conjures up images of navigation marks.
JONAS BOHLIN was born in Stockholm and trained at Konstfack (the Swedish University College of Arts, Crafts and Design). A designer with an artist's eye, his work always transcends traditional barriers without losing its homogenous interpretation of architecture, function and life itself. Bohlin's career and success has added an element of sensitivity and common sense to his design work. Today he works mainly with interior design projects. His projects also include the creation of a new design course.
